Labels for electronics
When preparing our offer, we did not forget to include labels for electronics. Basically, all electronic components need to be labelled, and these labels must be suitable for the particular environment. In addition, they are required to have a fairly long service life.

What features must the labels for electronics have?
Small electronic components (electronic circuits) are the integral part of all household and domestic appliances we use every day. Given their huge quantity, it is clear that the demand for small electronics is very high. The same is true for labels for electronics. There are specific requirements for such labels. On the one hand, they must be resistant to certain environments. On the other hand, they must not interfere with the functioning of the electronics. Labels on components are often small, so their printing must be sufficiently clear and legible. Marking PCBs, motherboards, memory chips or processors therefore requires a specific adhesive and a suitable face material.

Labelling of components
Labels applied directly to electronics usually feature a barcode, 2D code or a string of characters that convey basic data about the component, such as the serial number. For labelling electronics, labels are therefore used that are resistant to high temperatures, chemicals or which are non-conductive, if necessary. They must also be electrostatically inert and should withstand contact with agents used in the electronics assembly process. Labelling PCBs, motherboards, memory chips or processors requires a suitable adhesive and a face material that is resistant to overvoltage, high temperatures and the ageing process.
Heavy-duty foil labels are used in these applications. This is because high-quality foil labels should make it possible to read the printed information even after several years of operation.
Some devices, such as optical drives, must be fitted with a rating plate in the form of a label. These contain basic information about the product as well as warnings relating to it; the latter are usually printed on a coloured background.
