How does it work?
A laser barcode label is a label designed to permanently retain important data (such as model name, serial number, barcode, etc.). The laser engraving process uses a powerful and precise light beam that heats and vaporises the material at its focal point. Laser marking does not require direct contact with the material, which helps to achieve precise and clean marking. The result depends on the selected laser wavelength and the interaction time between the beam and the material. Laser printing is the most modern label printing technology.
Where are laser-printed labels used?
- Chemical laboratories and analysis: In environments where chemicals and aggressive substances can destroy standard labels, laser labels are becoming a key element in ensuring the legibility and durability of labelling.
- Automotive: In the automotive industry, where labels have to withstand extreme conditions, including fluctuating temperatures, moisture and contact with oils or fuels or prolonged UV radiation, the laser method becomes indispensable.
