Resin ribbons
Resin ribbons are one of the three types of ribbon used in some label printing processes. They are used in thermal transfer printing, among other applications.
Four resin ribbons on rolls, varying in size.
How exactly do resin ribbons work?
For thermal transfer printing, a special ribbon soaked in ink is required. The ribbon is first heated so that the ink reaches a temperature that allows it to be transferred to the surface of the label. The printer head then presses the ribbon onto the paper or film so that the print is applied precisely. The resulting prints are both clear and durable.
Resin ribbons is one of three types of ribbons, the others are wax and resin-wax ribbons. Resin ribbon offers the best performance at the highest price. It can be used to print on any material, on all types of paper and film. Resin ribbons also guarantee the resistance of the print to external factors: moisture, temperature, mechanical abrasion and the impact of chemical substances. The print quality is very high.
What sets our ribbons apart?
With these advantages, resin ribbons are used for printing dense barcode graphics, various numerical data and text. Labels printed with resin ribbons last up to 12 years outdoors. We offer many types of resin ribbons that vary in resistance, depending on the material (label) used and the environment in which they are used. We can therefore offer labels with high print resistance to abrasion, oil spills, high temperatures, and so on. Selected models comply with UL/CSA standards.
Resin ribbons are readily available in our offer. Because we use them ourselves in our company for printing labels, we can guarantee their highest quality.
Ribbons are available in widths from 30 mm to 220 mm, in rolls of regular lengths (e.g. 74 m, 153 m, 300 m, 450 m) or any other length on request.
