Peel-off labels

Multi-layer peel-off labels are also often called “peel and read” or “open and close” labels. Along with booklet labels, they are a good solution to the problem of small packaging space when a large amount of information needs to be conveyed. They are a more economical version of the booklet label, and consist of two parts: a bottom label and a top label.

How do peel-off labels work?

Successive layers of these labels are stuck on top of each other. The adhesive used during production allows the peel-off layer to be re-adhered, in the same place or somewhere else. In the latter case, peel-off labels are useful for courier companies and in other applications where repositioning of the label is required. Successive layers of the label are printed on both sides. This is achieved with printing the information on the surface that is subsequently covered with adhesive. This approach makes it possible to double the printing area. It is often used in the printing of labels for transparent bottles. The variant is also common in which the top layer is covered with advertising graphics, while the necessary information is placed on the back side of the label.

Stick-on multilayer labels, like booklet labels, are proving their worth with aesthetic qualities. Peel-and-read labels offer more possibilities for creating original, distinctive packaging. In this way, they help to build brand and product recognition.

Advantages of our “open and close” labels

Peel-off labels allow any information and graphics to be pre-printed both inside and outside the label. The top layer can also be left blank. The client can then personalise each label using thermal transfer technology. Peel-off labels can be manufactured as film, paper or mixed types, with film as the bottom layer and paper as the top layer. Inside the label usually is dedicated for standard information such as operating instructions, product composition or the company logo. We also offer the printing of variable, personalised information for use in, for example, games, sweepstakes or competitions. This solution guarantees full confidentiality and data validation.
