White labels / Unprinted labels

Looking for a way to label your products flexibly and economically? Imagine having complete control over what, how and when you print. That's exactly the freedom that comes with unprinted white labels - a seemingly simple product that holds huge potential for any business, regardless of size. It's a clean sheet that you can write exactly as you need it, responding to dynamic changes in logistics, retail or production.

Which unprinted labels to choose?

The unprinted labels available in our range can be made from many different raw materials, depending on their intended use. A different raw material should be used for logistics labels, another for labels intended for freezing, and yet another for labels used, for example, on electrical equipment that may be sensitive to the appearance of electrical charges.

Material matters - what are white labels made of?

Choosing the right raw material is therefore key. Will your labels be exposed to moisture and sunlight, or will standard office conditions suffice?

We offer white self-adhesive labels on a variety of substrates to meet every challenge:

  • Paper labels: the most versatile and cost-effective solution, ideal for indoor applications such as labelling products on shop shelves or marking documents.
  • Film labels (PP, PE, PET, vinyl): Your secret weapon in the battle against harsh conditions. They are resistant to moisture, grease, UV radiation and tearing. Indispensable in the chemical, cosmetic or horticultural industries.
  • Thermal labels: Designed for thermal printing, which does not require the use of ribbon. Ideal for applications where speed and low cost are of the essence, such as courier label printing in logistics. However, their durability is limited.
  • Thermal transfer labels: These guarantee the highest quality and durability of the printing. In combination with the right ribbon, they create markings that are resistant to abrasion and extreme conditions, which is crucial in industry and long-term storage.

Print yourself! Which technology to choose?

The beauty of unprinted labels is that you decide on their final appearance. You can put your logo, barcode, expiry date, serial number or whatever you like on them. How do you do it?

  • Thermal transfer and direct thermal printers: These are specialised machines designed for printing labels on rolls. They provide speed, precision and high quality, especially when printing barcodes. Ideal for companies that print large quantities of labels on a regular basis. Etyfol brand labels are compatible with all roll label printers, including manufacturers such as Zebra, Sato, Honeywell, Godex, CAB, TSC and others.
  • Inkjet printers for roll labels: Similar to thermal and thermal transfer printers, these printers allow the printing of white labels on a roll. However, the printing itself takes place in a completely different way. It does not use a high-temperature print head, but rather a print head that feeds ink of the appropriate colour from cartridges, as is the case with typical desktop printers. With such a printer, your white labels can be transformed into full-colour printed labels, according to your current needs, design or order. Our white ink labels are suitable for Epson Colorworks, Primera Afinia, Kiaro, Memjet and other printers.
  • Laser and inkjet printers for sheetfed labels: If your needs are smaller, you can successfully use a standard office printer and A4 sheet labels. These are great for labelling binders, sending out correspondence or organising your home office.

Practical applications for white labels - from logistics to DIY

Versatility is the middle name of white labels. They work literally everywhere:

  • Logistics and e-commerce: Address labels, warehouse rack markings, parcel tracking codes.
  • Retail: Price labels, information labels, promotional labels, barcodes on products.
  • Production: Labelling of components, wire harnesses and cables, nameplates, quality control labels.
  • Office: Labelling of documents, binders, equipment inventory.
  • Home and DIY: Labels for preserves and spices, organisation of boxes, personalisation of gifts.

How to choose the perfect label? Quick guide

Feeling lost in the maze of options? Answer these three questions and the choice will become easier:

  1. What will I use the labels for? (short-term marking or permanent labelling?)
  2. In what conditions will they work? (indoors or outdoors? will they be exposed to moisture or chemicals?)
  3. Which printer will I use? (direct thermal, thermal transfer or office printer?)

The answers will guide you to the right material, printing technology and label format.

White, unprinted labels are more than just blank stickers. They are an investment in flexibility, independence and a professional image for your company.
