Radio and television labels
It would be a truism to say that consumer electronics are commonplace, also it would mean saying too little. Every one of us owns at least a few different pieces of radio or television equipment (strictly speaking, radio and TV sets) and, more broadly, consumer electronics. We use them at least several times a day, usually much more often. Computers, televisions, radios, phones, chargers, keyboards, power supplies, stereos, portable drives, calculators, cash registers... Obviously, each of these devices needs labels, whether for marketing needs or to convey information required by law or necessary for the user.

What do RTV labels have to inform about?
These labels are very diverse, depending on the product. Their application determines not only the characteristics of the information provided, but also the shape and size of the label. Typically, they inform about the manufacturer and model of the product. Voltage and current data are often provided as necessary warnings for the user. There are also indications of compliance with various standards and regulations or the disposal of consumer electronics.
Some consumer electronics, such as television sets, have to be fitted with energy labels. These are labels of a uniform design for the entire European Union which provide information about the energy efficiency of the appliance, electricity consumption, power, noise generated and so on.

What labels are applied to electronic devices?
Due to frequent use, such labels must be resistant to abrasion. As a rule, manufacturers do not display these labels, so they are placed on the back or underside of the appliance. In this case, their aesthetic qualities is of secondary importance – but the information must be legible.
Durable foil labels, white, silver or black, printed by thermal transfer or digital printing, are used for consumer electronics. Depending on the required durability, the labels can be additionally laminated with a clear protective layer. This ensures that they are highly resistant to abrasion and everyday use.
