Wax ribbons
Wax ribbons are one of the types of ribbons required for certain printing technologies used in label printing. We use them, for example, in thermal transfer printing.

What exactly is wax ribbons used for?
A thermal transfer printer uses pigment-soaked ribbon to print onto a film or paper label. When the printer heats up the ribbon, the pigment can be transferred to the target surface. The printer head then presses the ribbon against the paper or film and the heated pigment is transferred to the area to be covered by the ink. This type of printing is used to achieve a durable and clear print. Because of their function, ribbons are also called colour ribbons.
Wax ribbon is one of the three types of colour ribbons (along with resin and wax-resin), and is the cheapest. It is used for labels that are not expected to be highly durable or resistant to abrasion or smearing. It is particularly suitable for paper labels. Wax ribbons offer good print quality on both matt and semi-gloss paper labels. The latter is what sets our product apart - wax ribbons from competitors are generally only used for matt paper printing.

What sets our ribbons apart?
We make sure that all our wax ribbons contain a small amount of resin. As a result, they offer better print quality than ordinary wax ribbon, all at an attractive price.
With the varied needs of our clients being our priority, we have made our offer as comprehensive as possible. Our wax ribbons are therefore available in widths from 30 mm to 220 mm. We also have ribbons in popular roll lengths (e.g. 74 m, 153 m, 300 m, 450 m) - or any other length that you may require.
Wax ribbons are available in black, red, green and blue. Obviously, this significantly extends the range of possibilities when creating and printing labels.
